PRIVACY POLICY

THE SHORT VERSION

Your code is never stored. It is scanned in memory and immediately discarded after the audit completes. No human ever sees your source code. We only keep a record of what vulnerability categories were found — not your actual code or secret values.

> WHAT WE COLLECT
Your GitHub URL or repo name
Stored so we can display your scan history.
Your code (ZIP or GitHub repo)
Processed in memory during the scan only. Never written to our database. Discarded immediately after the audit completes.
Audit findings
The vulnerability labels found (e.g. "Hardcoded API key detected in config.js") are stored so you can view your history. We do not store the actual value of any secret or key — only the description of where an issue was found.
Account info
Your email address if you sign in. Used for login and scan-limit tracking only.
Usage data
Anonymous usage events (scan counts, timestamps). No code content.
> WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT

Raw source code is never stored. Whether you paste a GitHub URL or upload a ZIP, your actual code files are read into memory, analyzed, and discarded the moment the audit finishes. They never reach our database. No one at HackMyVibeCode can retrieve your code — because it was never saved.

Secret values are never stored. If a scan finds an exposed API key, we record the finding description (file name, issue type) — not the key itself.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

> AI PROCESSING

Your code is sent to OpenAI's API for analysis. This is how the audit works — the AI reads your files and identifies vulnerability patterns. OpenAI processes this data subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

No other third party receives your source code.
